big red truck

Used to express disdain for something deemed stupid or obvious, especially a self-evident remark.

This phrase was started with the blonde joke where a blonde calls the fire department because her home is on fire. When the person asked how to find her house she replied "Duh, the big red truck outside."
A woman walks out of her house to her car with her keys in her hand. A man calls out to her, "Going on a drive?"
To which she replies, "Duh, big red truck."

Duh! Big Red Truck

This is the term used when someone does not get out of the way of a fire truck in route to a call.
A firefighter is driving to the scene of a fire. The person in front of him does not move when seeing the lights and hearing the siren. As you pass the driver of the vehicle looks to you as if there is something wrong. You look back and say Duh! BIG RED TRUCK

Red Truck Syndrome

AKA: "I can't work on that because I have 'If I work on a red truck I'll die syndrome.'"

A rare disease that occurs in mechanics. People who have been contracted with RTS are significantly more susceptible to problems, pain, injuries, and even death from vehicles, ESPECIALLY red trucks. Hence the name Red Truck Syndrome.

May also be a symptom of laziness but has never been proven to correlate. Should be taken seriously when brought up.
When asked to work on a red Truck or any vehicle, you respond with "I can't work on that because I have red truck syndrome."
