proxtyl 

A proxtyl is a synonym for a gadget, gizmo, doodad, doohickey, contraption, or a device. It is also a part or component of a piece of machinery. Normally, the word is used as a kind of shorthand method of pointing out some kind of mechanical thing that may be difficult to classify or the speaker has forgotten or does not know the the thing's name.

The car broke down, but I don't know what's wrong. I guess some proxtyl needs fixing or replacing.

I dropped my cell phone, and it broke. I must have broken some proxtyl inside of it.
