A pledge recited just about every day in schools all across the United States of America. See example for the words. It has recently come under fire from Athiests, who believe "Under God" should be removed from the Pledge of Allegiance. Instead of just not saying it themselves, they force Christians who actually believe it to not say it. The United States of America was formed by Christians, so "Under God" would be an improper term to use.
Child: I pledge allegiance, to the flag, of the United States of America, and to the republic, for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with unity and justice for all.
Athiest: No, you can't say God!
Christian: This country was formed by Christians. You can just not say it if you don't like it.
