plantarian

A person who exclusively eats a plant-based diet or assimilates plantarianism. Reasons may include aiming to achieve better health, envisioning to relieve environmental issues caused by animal agriculture or the rejection of eating animals or animal-based substances.

They are similar to strict vegetarians and dietary vegans although they are not keen on adhering to the lifestyle and philosophy of vegans.

May also be classed as entry-level vegans.
My parents are now plantarians for health reasons.

She used to be a vegetarian but is now a plantarian since she ditched eggs and dairy.

Frank is not ready to be a full-fledged vegan so he started to be a plantarian.

Planetarian

One who eats food that is lighter on the planet. One can be a meat eater or a vegetarian and still be as Planetarian as long as he/she pays attention to where food comes from and its overall footprint.
When I follow my Planetarian diet and pay attention to where my food comes from, I feel like I not only eat healthier but I also feel like I am giving the Planet a bit of a break.

Planetarianism 

Planetarianism (Planetary Humanism) is a Humanist political philosophy emphasising the importance of universal values and affirming the need to strengthen the unity and the influence of international institutions. Also, Planetarianism advocates the decentralization of governments and the establishment of the society as the essential unit of politics.
Planetarianism is a humanist political movement.

plantarianism 

A diet exclisively consisting of only plant-based products which may include seaweed and artificially synthesized chemicals such as calcium chloride, monosodium glutamate or sodium bicarbonate.

A person or persons focused on the non-consumption of animal products and/or any animal-derived substances.

It can be a prerequisite to veganism although the philosophical burden it entails is between very limited to non-existent.

May also be referred to as strict vegetarianism.

Synonym: dietary veganism
A friend of mine was a flexitarian but has now embraced plantarianism.

Plantarianism is common among environmentalists and dietary vegans.
