pbbssh

"pbbssh", also spelled pbssh, is a sound made by dragging out the the "p" and "b" consonants through pressed lips, follow by a "sh" sound.

It is typically used to express disbelief or disagreement, sometimes with ridicule or disdain.

Disbelief:

"I caught a 30 lb bass this weekend."
"Pbbssh, right! Pics or it didn't happen."

Disdain:

"You gonna give up dem digits, baby?"
"Pbbssh, in yor dreams, playa!"

pbssh

Also spelled pbbssh -- it is a sound used to express disbelief or disagreement, often with ridicule or disdain.

It's made by simultaneously vibrating out a "p" and "b" from between pressed lips, followed immediately by an extended "sh" sound. e.g. "pppbbsshhh...!"

It's is made with more force and drawn out longer to express ridicule or disdain.

Disagreement:

"I spend 25 minutes a day on my beard and it comes out perfect every single time."

"pbssh. I trim twice a week. That's sufficient."

Ridicule:

"I think Pluto should be classified a planet."

"pppbbsshhh...! What solar system were you born in? It's smaller than the moon and it's orbit is erratic."
