pathopistisist

One who suffers from faith. Based on the Richard Dawkins essay "Viruses of the mind" where religious beliefs are interpreted as cultural memes and analogous to computer viruses. Derived from the greek: patho = to suffer and pistis = faith.
Pathopistisists usually transmit their condition congenitally, however particularly charismatic pathopistisist are even more infectious and some (like tele-evangelists) don't even require physical contact.
