His third album, Caustic Lovewas released 5 years later (April 2014) and received extremely positive feedback from music critics. Caustic Love also went to number one in the UK Album charts, and was certified platinum from the BPI in June 2014. Later that month, he was referred by the BBC "arguably Scotland's biggest musician right now".

Paolo was born on the 9th January 1987, in Paisley, Scotland. His dad is Italian and his mum is Scottish. His birth name is Paolo Giovanni Nutini. Paolo was encouraged to sing by his grandfather, Jackie, and his school teacher at St Andrews Academy who recognised his talent.
