Orky

Orky is a term used in the Warhammer Universe (or Ooniverse, to be Orky) by Orks to describe something worthy of being used by, ridden in, said by, or otherwise being associated with Orks.

Most Orky words starting with or using a C will have the C replaced, as in Trukk (truck) and Kulture (culture).
The same applies for the letter S in words like Boyz (boys) and Gunz (guns).

Something can be made Orky through either adding red paint (yellow can be substituted, as it is a roight snazzy kulah), adding some stompy bitz, or the traditional method of simply adding more DAKKA. Nevah enuff dakka.

Ork: Oi, some git thought Orky ment "dorky".

Orky

(Adjective)
A reference to the Warhammer 40 000 universe, Orks are a race of brutal, greenskinned thugs rampaging across the universe in search of a fight. Kind of like British football fans IN SPACE.

They are renowned for their patchwork, jury-rigged equipment and vehicles, having looted and rebuilt anything they can get their hands on.

This lends them a haphazard appearance, so much so that the word "Orky" refers to any device, vehicle, repair-job, or, god forbid, medical procedure which is haphazardly thrown together from spare parts and only held on with spit, string and good luck.

Some drunk tool put a hole in my guitar so I patched it up with some duct tape. It looks Orky now.

My car antenna got ripped off so I made an Orky one out of a wire coathanger.

I don't have medical insurance so I stitched the wound together with a staplegun. Dead Orky.

orky dork 

1. a person that plays a stringed instrument usually violin, viola, cello, or bass in an orchestra
2. is friends with many other musically inclined people {i.e band geeks or choir queers}
3. almost exclusively dates people mentioned above
4. has a 99% chance of being asian
5. is emotionally attached to their instrument
6. enjoys playing music to an inhuman extent
7. can pick out their instruments part in about any song
8. constantly makes jokes about band and chorus
9. takes pride in being a member of the orchestra (those who take their pride to the extreme call it dorkestra )
10. their talent is almost always underestimated, they are often neglected because of this
11. is considered a pervert when talking about almost any aspect of their instrument
12. is infinately awesome. period.

Bill: that orky dork treats her bass better than her boyfriend!

Me: hey, what up band geeks!?
Friends: you're such an orky dork, laura.

Bob: what are you doing?
Me: fingering a minor.
Bob: what?!
Me: damn! i broke my G string.
Bob:...
Me: it doesn't help that its so hard shifting into fifth position, either.

Orkney 

A pedi group of islands north of the Scottish mainland, famous for its prehistoric civilisations (eg. Skara Brae, mentioned in the 2008 Indiana Jones film), the Old Man of Hoy and the 'Ba game with the Uppies V Doonies.

I'm flying back home to Orkney this weekend, can't wait!

oronym 

oronyms are words/phrases with different spellings and meanings, but which sound the same when read aloud.

oronym examples:
