Verb: Taking the next step in a process and usually to an extreme. The act of oneupsmanship with the intention of showing off. Besting all predecessors to the nth degree.

That guy just oneupted my idea for cold beer and hot dogs with his idea for cold beer, hotdogs, and chili cheese fries with cilantro on top.

Exaggeration of completely made of story of one person to get attention or steal the others thunder. Usually done by a competitive person

Person 1: She just one-upped me
Person 2: Yeah, she just wants attention.

When a person has been playing video games constantly for more than five hours and seems to be in a state of intoxication.

"Dude, I got one upped on Counter-Strike last night."

A syndrom most often associated proportional to testosteron levels driving the victim to constantly
reply with a bigger, better, more story relating to the story being told

Poor Andrew always got caught up in his "oneuppedness" when talking shop to the other Project management consultants.
