Commit to an action causing serious errors or demise that possibly cannot be undone; particularly used in humour with a silly comment that replaces the word “misunderstand” to confuse others with an inference of making arrangements to bury, cremate, or otherwise dispose of someone before they are actually dead; i.e., a witty play on words relating to undertaker; a rare and perhaps misundertaken antonym of undertake.
“Please don’t misundertake me.” (Used by Petter Sellers in a comedy movie... long before he died, of course!)
