Misshift. V. The process of either selecting the wrong gear in a manual transmission, or shifting at the wrong rpms. For example when shifting from 2nd gear to 3rd gear accidentally selecting 5th gear instead or vice versa.

Tommy lost the respect of his peers when he misshifted his Miata and lost to Enrique's Honda Civic with V tech.
