Methademic 

A methademic is when the drug scene witnesses what tweakers call a drought. E. I. When a drug seize happens at the borders and the weekly load is picked up by the DEA and not it's regular customers.

Dave: "well dang nabbit I'll be damned.. Can't find a $20 of clr anywhere around here."
Naomi: "well that's cause we're in the mist of a methademic. Didn't you hear about the bust that when down at the borders?!"

That person who over reacts to whatever the latest exotic virus is and then causes people around them to lose their minds and create more panic than preparedness.

My mom keeps sending me articles on how to wash my hands and prepare for ebola. She thinks of nothing else. She has gone completely megademic on me!
