Marielistic describes people named Marie that limits some person or group's liberty or autonomy for their own good.

To behave Marielistic towards adults is sometimes thought to treat them as if they were children.
It is derived from the word paternalistic but is targeted directly at the species called Marie due to their excessive mothering instincts.
