A word said to signify an unspoken bond between you and your group. Referenced from the movie ‘Grown Ups,’ and hence must always be said with your most annoying, slurred, nasal accent, as per the film.

One person says it, and it is custom for the rest of the group to respond in suit.

There is no particular situation to use this word, it is perhaps the most versatile word in the English language: use it to fill a silence, as a reaction, when one mate chuns, when another’s girlfriend splits with him, when Grandma Hillary dies - maize.
Lawrence: “Maize”

Cammie, Oscar, Ben, Jamie: “Maize”

Elle *crying*: “he just doesn’t like me anymore!!”
Phoebe, Ruby, Sadie etc.: “Maize”

TV Host: “and the winning numbers are 12, 3, 15, 9, and 10!”
Tom: “Maize”
