The art of taking a nickname, pet name or term of endearment and making it appear more masculine/feminine by using extreme letters, changing the pronunciation or developing a plausible (albeit untrue) background story to explain it or make it seem (more) socially acceptable.

My girlfriend was getting out of control with her nicknames so I kraginzized them.

When my husband started calling me beefcake in public, I kraginzed a story about how I beat him in leg wrestling.
