An insult used in positive context. Males usually being on the receiving end, and although the insult is used positively, often ends up being more degrading than a normal insult would be. Also used to devoid harshness from an insult. Men, don't be deceived; she doesn't actually like it that much.

"you're only 4 inches? awww that's adorable!"

When someone tries to ease the blow of a criticism by delivering it after a compliment.

Lisa: "Thank you so much for doing the store site...is it up for all to see there's some typos :("
Tony: "Thanks for the compliment insult, Lisa"
