hoplophobe

An irrational fear of weapons, generally guns, usually occuring as a result of a liberal upbringing or the fact that the person is just a wimp in general. Rather than deal with the fear said hoplophobe will assign human characteristics to a weapon ie "guns are evil" or "guns kill" to justify the fear rather than deal with the core problem of being a sissy.
Due to his aversion to weapons, all the the police could do for young Seth the hoplophobe was chalk his cold dead body out on the floor as he had no defense for the thug that broke into his one bedroom apartment in San Fran, the policed noted the irony in the fact that the killer had scored three hits in the "O" portion of Seth's OBAMA 08 T-shirt.

A person who fears or hates hoes.
"There's a hoe over there! Hide me before I catch her AIDS!"
"I hate hoes, they don't deserve rights and are against my religion."
If you have said any of the above or anything like it, you may be a hoemophobe.. Don't worry! That's not necessarily a bad thing.

hoplophobia

n. Irrational, morbid fear of guns (coined by Col. Jeff Cooper, from the Greek "hoplites," weapon). May cause sweating, faintness, discomfort, rapid pulse, nausea, sleeplessness, more, at mere thought of guns. Hoplophobes are common and should never be involved in setting gun policies. Point out hoplophobic behavior when noticed, it is dangerous, sufferers deserve pity, and should seek treatment. When confronted, hoplophobes typically go into denial, a common characteristic of the affliction. Often helped by training, or by coaching at a range, a process known to psychiatry as "desensitization," often useful in treating many phobias. Also: Hoplophobe, hoplophobic.
