Hooroo is a distinctively Australian way of saying “goodbye”.

The "truly wondrous fantasmagorically splendiferously magickal word hooroo" (credited to someone's Uncle Wally) echoes two likely sources.

It's a bit of a joyous exclamation, as in "Hooroo! hooroo!

hooray!" (Darby O'Gill), and it's also something of an owl's hoot, as in "the proper hooroo, hooroo" (The Sword in the Stone).

"For my part, I do believe I should go quite insane, were I to live in {a} Land where people wandered around screaming, 'HOOROO' at one- another". said Werewolfy"

THUNDERCATS HOOOO!

A yell of a once popular cartoon character.

Also fun to yell while running around in a supermarket.
This looks like a job for...THUNDERCATS HOOOO!

Slang for "Who Could Have Known?" Made mockingly, toward a situation where short term choices present an outcome that is clearly obvious - yet the claimants say the outcome could never be anticipated. There is an implicit assumption that person(s) at fault, refuse to accept responsibility for their choices. The original question (used by them) is an attempt to deflect criticism. This word is popularized on economic blogs and forums.
When hurricane Gustav landed on the coast, the governors of the nearby states sought to avoid a panic, and publicly asked their citizens not to hoard gas. This news was so widespread, that everyone bought gas the next day, just to be on the safe side. Prices doubled, and no gasoline could be found for a week. Hoocoodanode?
