A set of made up stories compiled together to help brainwash majority of people. The _official_ method of producing such set is _speculation_. (source: Wikipedia). People who are capable to analyze material facts using cause-and-effect reasoning are kept away from compiling and presenting such sets. They are either lured into "exact" sciences such as physics, math, etc or made outcasts by the school system.
Nevertheless, history as a discipline seems like important for keeping the society to look civilized. At least on the surface. At least, in theory.
Ex1:
- According to history, Lincoln is credited with 1865 emancipation as the event exclusive to the USA and Lincoln's genius. Do you know when Russia emancipated its slaves?
- 1861, but it's not related.

Ex2:

- In 2022, in South Carolina they still teach their own history where Linkoln is an antagonist

Ex3: - It's well-known that history repeats itself.
- Well, that just means we can create alternative reality by telling people how we think they should have acted in the past.

(by the way Juneteenth, the official holiday, is celebrated each year because slaves technically were emancipated in 1863)

A lie with which all the experts in the field agree. Basically, the studying of the past events from the beginning of time, for which there are few concrete proofs, up to yesterday, for which everyone has much evidence. Since written evidence started spreading with the typing machine( invented by Johannes Gutenberg), there were more papers and written stuff to explore and confirm/disprove one's thesis of how an event occurred. However, as it is evident in today's world, manipulating information is a human characteristic, a flaw that has always been within us, people. Therefore, no one can confirm how and what really happened at any moment in all of the history that us humans can study. Conclusion-we can all agree with the all the events we study that they happened, but not really know ALL the background, causes, and consequences of events.
Peter: 'Hey, have you heard that Hitler was missing one ball?'
Steve: 'I have but to prove it, you either found Hitler's photo of his dick, perhaps in a history book, or your grandma told you she gave him a blowjob. Or do you have other firm proofs for your statement?'
Peter: *runs to ask his grandmother to tell him again that bedtime story

History is what has happened and what is tends to happen again.

Also, history is a term used to describe a person's end of something, like employment or perhaps their life.
"History repeats itself "

Something that doesn't need to be torn down or replaced. As long as people are (mis)led to believe that out with the old, in with the new is really in their best interest and not in the financial interest of some developer from another town or state, they will keep falling in line with the agenda of these folks and never taking a stand against their agenda. It's a good way to lose any history that people came to love about a place, in favor of building a new order and a new agenda of peole that don't really give a fuck about them or anything but dollar signs.
History isn't removed or replaced by something new, it's really an attempt by some people or groups to show that somebody new is in charge here now.

Something a lot of people are either completely ignorant about or have a warped perception of.
The only thing more warped than a millennial's perception of history is an atheist's perception of religion. Our schools are pathetic.
