Like hero, but specific to women. A useless word considering that hero is typically used for either sex.

Not to be confused with heroin, as it's common for stupid people to tack an "e" on the end when using the internet.

Heroine Syndrome

A attributive syndrome which only occurs in females between the age of 11-18 years. This syndrome causes females to become self-centered and also makes them think that they will get 4-8 years of anime events which will never happen to occur during their high school ~ university period. People that have been fully taken over by this syndrome will become overconfident, tryhard, and picky. These people will also be subjected to trashy anime tropes such as: Tsundere, Yandere, Dandere, and Yuudere.

"Doctor, my daughter suddenly became extremely self centered, overconfident, and her personality even changed over night! What should I do?"

"Ma'am, these side affects indeed indicate this is a serious case of Heroine Syndrome"

2. a female who is known to act very courageously while under the influence of heroin or other opiates

3. a person who types the word "heroine" when trying to refer to the drug derived from the poppy plant (heroin)

The female version of hero.

As it's a gender specific word, it's considered un-PC by many.

Hero is the gender neutral term, as the word 'hero' had nothing to do with the word "he". One comes from Greek, one from Old English.

In Greek legend there's actually a woman called Hero as in the tale of Hero & Leander.

The heroine triumphed against the evil dude.
