1. furries
A world-wide subculture that has received some unfair criticism from the common person. This subculture involves the use of anthropomorphic animals of either a mammalian, reptilian or avian variety. Some furries will call themselves "scalies" or "avians" rather than furries to make that distinction. One of the reasons that this subculture is so often misunderstood is because there are so many subcultures within this subculture.

1. Fursuiters (those who like to dress up)
2. Otherkin (those who believe that they aren't human in spirit)
3. Furries (those who like to roleplay, draw, or write stories about furries)
4. Furverts (Or: Furry Fetishists. This, in turn, can be divided into many more subcultures, all grouped by specific fetishes, like feet, macros, and other fetishes)
5. Trans-species (Those who physically alter their body to resemble their respective animal's)

The majority of furries interact in one or two virtual environments: Furcadia (which caters specifically to furries) and Second Life (which is famous for furries, but caters to everyone). Known for being very social creatures, it's not uncommon to see a furry make friends with many other furries. Social stigma, however, makes it harder for those who are "openly furry" to socialize with those who have a negative opinion about it.

That is not to say, however, that this subculture is undeserving of some of its criticism. Of all the strangest fetishes that exist in this planet, they are only made...

3. Fursuit
A fursuit style of costume is usually a elaborate full body costume constructed over a period of many months. The wearer may make their own costume or have another make it for them. They may be very elaborate and involve several different colors of fur. The head is usually sized to be more true to life.

There are several methods used to construct the head. Papier mache may be built up possibly on a wooden frame, but this usually results in a very heavy head. Foam blocks may be hollowed out and carved, then covered with fur. Plastic or fiberglass strips or wire may be formed into a frame and covered with papier-mache or other material. A hockey mask or other helmet may be used as a foundation to build a head.

The most elaborate heads are ultra custom made to form fit on a persons head. This is done by making a lifecast, or mold of a persons head. Lifecasts can also be made of the body and hands.

Some may apply one or more pieces of latex rubber, called prosthesis, shaped like muzzles or ears, to their head with spirit gum. The edges can be blended to the skin with some kind of putty or clay material. Then makeup can be applied over the prosthesis and face.

The body suit is usually constructed from several different colors and possibly lengths of fur. Usually there is belly fur of a contrasting color, usually light or white, reaching from the throat to near the groin. In come costumes, the zipper or other fastening is run along the seam between the belly fur ...

4. yiffing
Usually refers to cyber sex between two or more members of the furry fandom. Originally refers to the sound that foxes make when mating. Members of the furry fandom may use the term to refer to actual sexual contact, usually in a lighthearted manner.

It is also a term used at furcons to inquire about sexual intentions between fursuiters.
The anthro fox smiled at the mass of horny furres, knowing that a good yiffing session would soon follow.

There are furries all around from the world, for example: Asia,Europe,USA,Canada people some time meet up at conventions.
The majority of people in furry fandom are either Bi or Gay but you also do get Straight and Male or Female people in the furdom as well

The furdom ranges differntly from person to person it can be just people who like drawing animals or anthropomorphic animals (Animals with human features, such a human with cat ears) or a person who likes to dress up in there fursona fursuiter or just likes to act as there favorite animal

6. furry
furries are the most annoying fandom you will ever witness.Furries carry three traits obnoxious, self-righteous,and hypersensitive. In other words furries are stuck up assholes. Here are some quotes from furries that I have found quote 1:"we'll laugh back at how humans are having below par lives". Wow,it's a wonder why most people hate furries.Quote 2: "furries are humans in the fact that they are above normal humans" Furries will inform you that they have the right to say, do and draw whatever they want and there's nothing you can do about it. Yet I see these hypocritical bastards go to sites and say quote "anti furries should be shot" Oh yes, they'll tell you that they have the right say whatever they want but lord help you if you say one bad thing about them. They find it ok to think of themselves as better than "non-furries" but believe it wrong not to like them? Sounds a little strange to me. Furries tend to believe themself as a unique fandom. This is not true for example:I have seen a program where star trek fans wear their star trek costumes all the time, some who only wear their star trek conventions just like "fursuiters" .Star trek fans trade action figures like furries trade their so called "art".Furries are like all the other fandoms out there like those star trek and star wars fandom.Star trek, star wars, furries and all the other fandoms out there have the same catagory of people too, those who take the fandom too far, those who just like the fandom, and those...
