A common term among those single people in their 30's. Either they are divorced or have been in a serious relationship. Which ever scenario fits, these people do not understand terms such as slut, whore, love at first sight and other uniformed thoughts.
being able to be a friend with benefits means you are more aware of difference between sexual chemistry and conection and can act on it with responsibility. Ever seen Sex and the City? THAT defines it all and in a funny way. I am sure many can relate. After 30 there are no inhibitions and no judgements. A single night of sex between consenting adults is common talk over coffee in the morning with you best girlfriends.

Ideal scenario for folk who are not interested in a serious relationship, or who do not have time for one. Not a boyfriend or girlfriend; neither party has to refrain from dating other people. Also not a word tool for a player to have sex with women he does not care about. A smart alternative to random hook-ups.

Two friends that are sexually attracted to each other and could be great in a relationship but are not together for other reasons. How ever both do flirt and do boyfriend/girlfriend activities but both aren't officially a couple. Usually both have an unconditional care for each other and have feelings for one another but do not take it to another level because of other reasons.
Alexis and Matt have been friends for about 6 years now. They go on dates sometimes and clearly like each other. They are friends with benefits.
