A charity website where users play a vocabulary game in order to raise money to fight world hunger.

FreeRice began on October 7, 2007. It was created by John Breen, a computer programmer from Bloomington, Indiana who also created thehungersite.com and Poverty.com. Breen invented the site, and typed in all 10,000 definitions, after observing his son study for the SAT.

Freerice.com is a legitimate charity website.

Someone over the age of 30 without children, who routinely travels or engages in hobbies and pastimes difficult for parents to manage. Freetimers are similar to DINKs, but instead of focusing on income, the emphasis is on the added flexibility of being childless. Freetimers can also be single.

Nate had no trouble scheduling a weeklong backpacking trip in Yosemite because he is a Freetimer.

also pronounced as Freeter refers to n. a person who takes a series of temporary jobs; a job-hopper, temp worker, or freelancer.

a Japanese expression for people between the age of 15 and 34 who lack full time employment or are unemployed, excluding homemakers and students. They may also be described as underemployed or freelance workers. These people do not start a career after high school or university but instead usually live as so-called parasite singles with their parents and earn some money with low skilled and low paid jobs. The low income makes it difficult for freeters to start a family, and the lack of qualifications makes it difficult to start a career at a later point in life.
