fauxpression

The claim of some kind of oppression or other adverse condition being inflicted against the claimant personally or to a group/faith to which the claimant belongs to that is obviously hyperbolic or at least certainly exaggerated in terms of severity.
Generally Ted's libertarian beliefs seemed to have merit until he went fully down the fauxpression road by claiming that taxes literally made him a slave.
