Coming from a Canadian (where the word was made, no duh),
Eh means anything, really, but usually means YES? or RIGHT? It can also mean RIGHT ON or TOTALLY.
You can only use EH at the end of a sentence, though, and make sure you don't make it a part of a sentence (did that make ANY sense?).
1) Hockey game was amazing, eh?
2) Oh I know, eh!

A word Canadians use to ensure the other person is following along with the conversation. Not often used between Canadians themselves, but used excessively when visiting the USA and explaining things about Canada.
Dumbass – So is that near Vancouver?
Torontonian – No, Vancouver is on the West Coast near Seattle.
Dumbass – Seattle!! you shittin' me?.
Torontonian – No really eh, Toronto is close to Buffalo.
Dumbass – Buffalo!!
Torontonian – Where you from Eh?
Dumbass – North Tonawanda, New Yew York.
Torontonian –Eh, you’re like 10 miles from the border.
Dumbass – You mean the US border?
Torontonian – I’d love to talk but I have talk to those hot chicks from Chicago at the shooter bar. Nice talk’n to you eh?

Canadian: Used as an interjection in a convorsation. Probably used more in Americans imitating Canadians than Canadians themselves.

American: Used to express indifference or when you're not sure

Arabic: Means "yes" in Arabic.
Canadian:
Bob: Nice weather today, eh?
Joe: Yup

American:
Bob: What did you think of that Geometry test?
Joe: Eh...

Arabic:
Bob: Bidek mai?
Joe: Eh
