dreamtails 

The fleeting, fragmentary details of a dream that are remembered upon waking, while the rest of the dream is forgotten. The tail-ends of a dream that are still within reach after waking.

(either a compound of "dream" and "tails", or a portmanteau of "dream" and "details")

He couldn't remember much of his dream, only a few dreamtails.
My dreamtails this morning were confusing.
She was able to hold onto some dreamtails when she woke up.
