A crap job that involves breaking into peoples' homes and offering them crap they don't want. This includes phony vacation offers, annoying election information, shady fundraisers, and fake IRS scams.

You possibly want to avoid these if you're on the defensive side. This is made especially worse if you're an entrepreneur, as you'll end up getting interrupted if you're in a meeting or on the phone with an important client. These people give offers of wanting you featured in their magazine or newspaper, selling you their college student app or coupon book, etc., just for the purpose of leeching cash from your wallet.

Is there a way to avoid these? Yes, just put up a no trespassing or soliciting sign.

As soon I was about to leave to get pizza, I got interrupted by a door to door salesman about a stupid fundraiser. I told him to back off.

Door-to-Door Calendar Salesman 

Initially created to avoid having to say the term "groomer" (or relative terms such as "grooming") aloud when in the company of people, or in a place where you'd rather not have people hear you talking of such a topic. Especially when it comes to discussing the topic to someone who is easily triggered by the initial subject.

"Door-to-Door Calendar Salesman" is a code-term to use in place of a "child groomer."

"Selling calendars" means to commit the act of grooming.
"Going door to door" means they're searching for minors to groom.
"Asking a minor for calendars or photos of their calendars" means they're asking a minor for illegal sexual favours, or for sexually explicit photos of said minor.

Person A: "Have you heard that Onision has been going door to door and selling calendars?"
Person B: "What the fuck is up with that? Selling calendars...He should go to prison for it."

A religious act in which any other religion goes door to door to "Spread The good word". They Either 1: Knock on your door and reading passages to you in their bible while he/she insults you for all the "sins" you've committed or 2: Knock on your door and wedge a card of their church in your door jamb and leave.
