When a song is not
new anymore and should not be
played for a long time, until it is considered "classic" or "vintage". The deadzone for most songs is between 6 months and
11 years after its release date. An innovative cover of a song is exempt from the deadzone.
Miley's album Bangerz is totally in the deadzone, but I'm so glad that Britney's
Blackout is safely out of the deadzone and is respected as a classic
pop album.
