A sidekick or favoured younger friend. Usually describing the unusual friendship with a more powerful or senior boy in school life. Term used originally at Infant Jesus Anglo-Indian High School in Tangasseri, Quilon, India from early 20th century. Also written as a compound word cut-jack.
