A euphamism for fat. Curvy used to describe women who had large breasts, a small waist, and a big, shapely butt.
Now, the media is pressuring young girls and women to look like Scarlett Johansson or Angelina Jolie. If you have naturally small breasts, don't have a tiny waist, or particularly shapely hips, you're labelled as anorexic or "not a real woman". This same media claims to support "loving yourself", but if "yourself" hasn't got a perfect hourglass figure, then you're done for. Hypocrisy knows no bounds, right?

Let's say a girl, named Eve, was a fairly attractive girl. However, as she grew older, she never developed past an A cup. In other words, she wasn't curvy. According to the celebrity-obsessed freaks out there, she wasn't a real woman, so after years of struggling with her self-esteem, she got breast implants.
Why?
Because she wasn't a "real woman" without double d's.

The word "curvy" should be used to describe a woman with large breasts, a small waist, and a full bottom. REAL curvy women are Kim Kardashian, Scarlett Johansson, and Marilyn Monroe.
HOWEVER, in teen magazines like Seventeen and Cosmo Girl, "curvy" is used as a synonym for fat, so that fat girls feel better about their figures.

With a 27-inch waist and 38 inch hips and breasts, Kim Kardashian is truly curvy.
Overweight girls who wear a size 14 in jeans are not curvy, but plain old fat.

A woman with a shapely figure, generally well-defined waist, and fairly large butt and boobs compared to the rest of her body. Unlike what some people try to say, curvy is not synonymous with fat. A curvy woman has some meat on her bones, but is still physically fit and doesn't have a muffin top spilling out of her pants.

Typically, to describe a woman with a small waist, large boobs and butt.
Media confuses this with obesity. Obesity is NOT curvy. Magazines try to confirm that obesity is okay and you're "curvy", so you may continue to sit on your ass. Which is not the case.
Curvy women are usually classified as "real women" since they possess the assets that puberty textbooks say a girl should get. However, media also may confuse curvy with over weight.
The overall message is, it doesn't matter what size you wear, if you simply have a small waist and stomach, wide hips and large boobs, you need to take yourself to a coca-cola factory.

Word used to describe chubbier women, the word is used incorrectly to make larger people feel better about their unhealthy bodies. They often use newspaper articles such as 'Curvy is the new skinny' and ' Real girls have curves' So if you are skinny the 'curvy' girls boast about boys preffering curves and 'something to grab hold of'- what?
'It's been proved, boys love a curvy figure' The plump girl was reassured by the magazine stating her body was 'curvy' and better than slimmer women.
