Corprolite

(n.) A mashup of two words: Corporate, and Coprolite, which is a fossilized turd.

Used to describe entrenched middle management common to many workplaces, especially those members who have been in their jobs too long to be dismissed despite adding nothing more valuable to the company than would an ancient piece of rock-hard poop.
Employee 1: Hey, how'd your new idea go over with the big CEO?

Employee 2: It never got to him. Some corprolite decided he wanted things to stay the same around here and threw away my memo.

Passing middle manager, to himself: Corprolite? Sounds like new business jargon. I'll have to make sure I use that in my next presentation to the board!

lance corporal underground

Term used in the Marines to refer to the gossip passed around by those of a lower rank (usually lance corporals) about deployments, promotions, and any other topic pertaining to a unit's agenda.
Lance Corporal: So, I heard through the Lance Corporal Underground that we are going to Okinawa in May.

Other Lance Corporal: STFU I'm peeing.

Belief corral

An existential enclosure for confining sheeple, precluding independent thinking that might lead to freedom from servitude to, for example, religion.
When I started pointing out the way Christianity had co-opted longstanding cultural traditions in order to consolidate its power base, and how little of the 'unique' aspects of his religion were in fact unique, I realized I had wandered out of his belief corral - I might as well have been talking to myself.

Corporal Powell

A soldier cut down before his prime. A man (or woman) who has tragically fallen short of his (or her) potential. This contrasts with General Colin Powell, who has been very successful.
Corporal Powell, the replicator is not operable during orbital drop...please defer to the the blinking blue light. NO! Do not unfasten your harness! CORPORAL Powell...DO YOU READ ME!?!?! NOOOOOOO!
