Is a word that is supposed to be a verb deriving from a mutation of "converse" and "conversation. It is in the dictionary as "non-standard except in some dialects".

Some may believe this entry in the dictionary gives the word validity. It doesn't. Any slang or bastardized word embraced by popular culture could end up in the dictionary with this definition. That in no way means that it is a legitimate word.

From the same school as "irregardless" or "ain't". An example was given above to attempt to legitimize this word by quoting rap songs. Ridiculous. Is "Sizzurp" a real English word too?
The type of sentence you might hear from someone who believes this is a word:

"I don't speak English that good but I'm gonna conversate wit cha irregardless"

A word that was popular and widely used in the 90's by a generation that grew up listening to Biggie Smalls. It became common use for 'converse' because of his song, 'Big Poppa'... it was Biggie, after all.

'Big Poppa,' by The Notorious B.I.G. was extremely popular and made the word so mainstream that a generation and beyond believe it to be an actual word.
"Plans to leave, throw the keys to Little Cease (uh-huh)
Pull the truck up front, and roll up the next blunt
So we can steam on the way to the telly, go fill my belly (G)
A T-bone steak, cheese eggs and Welch's grape
Conversate for a few, 'cause in a few we gon' do
What we came to do, ain't that right, boo? (True)
Forget the telly-, we just got to the crib
And watch a movie in the jacuzzi, smoke Ls while you do me"

The real word is "converse," as "orientate" is really meant to be the word "orient." There is a difference between being creative and verbal rather than sounding stupid because you think you have game.
Guy: "I came over here to conversate and become orientated with you."
Girl: "WTF? I thought you just wanted to talk and get to know me better."
See you stupid that sounds? Please, for the love of God, stop saying that stupid shit. Don't you want to be somebody?

To have a conversation to converse.

Contrary to popular belief the word conversate is a real word and has had a place in the websters dictionary since 1973.

The word may in fact be older than many people who state that only white trash, illogical idiots use the word.

The word Conversate is formed through a process in etymology known as back-formation. Many literary geniuses of their time used back- formation such as but not limited to Shakespeare.

Also many common and accepted words in both English and other languages all over the world contain common words that are formed through back formation.

Many ignorant individuals could learn a thing or two by studying up on both the word conversate, and other back-formations before criticizing and making a generalization about a word and the people who choose to use it.
I would like to conversate with you.

We had conversated about that yesturday.
