1. A romance that has unrealistic outcomes which are designed to appeal to a female audience in a way which corresponds to the current trends of fictional romance in society. 2. The main focus/plot of the movie must be a romance which contains the attributes stated above. 3. The movie must have content not suitable for children. Sex and the City, Before Sunset/Sunrise, Legally Blond are NOT examples of chick flicks because they contains enough truth to the romances they portray.
