Yes But-er

Someone who asks for your help but then responds "yes, but..." to everything you say, so that you're left wondering why they asked for help in the first place, since it seems that they already have all the answers.
Marie is such a yes but-er. She asked for my help and then shot down all my suggestions, acting like I was annoying her...

yes but a cordon could be better if scrolled

orginated on basilmarket.com where a thread about prices of equipment in a popular MMORPG known as Maplestory ended up with a very large number of players respoding to the thread using " yes but a cordon could be better if scrolled".

It can be used to state that an idea/choice/opinion is good, but there are better ones out there if you look hard enough.
Person:Are 21/21 glitter gloves worth 2b?
You: yes but a cordon could be better if scrolled

Person: Do I look good in these jeans?
You: yes but a cordon could be better if scrolled

Person: would you like gravy with your fries?

Well yes, but actually no

A phrase often used to point out instances of technicality, ambiguity, or hypocrisy.

1. A technicality. The meaning of the phrase in this context is "well yes, technically you are correct about superficial elements, but actually no, you are wrong about the substance in some way that invalidates the premise."

2. Ambiguity. The meaning of the phrase in this context is "well yes, some elements of this that have merit, but actually no, there are further details that must be considered."

3. Hypocrisy. The meaning of the phrase in this context is "well yes, I will say something to you to temporarily satisfy you, but actually no, my true actions will go against what I've said."

Yes, but a cordon would be better if scrolled.

A meme originating from Basilmarket created by a poster named 1evenstar. The meme started when a basiler asked if a 270m glitter glove was worth it. After posting the response "Yes, but a cordon would be better if scrolled", it was copied and pasted for the next 10 pages.
TS: Is this glitter glove worth it?
Reply: Yes, but a cordon would be better if scrolled.
