low gauge shotgun sawed off until the bullets almost stick out of the ends of the barrels, resulting in a weapon that from 10 feet away will blast you out of your boots, but from 20 will just really piss you off.

usually double-barrel shotguns that have been sawed off till the shells almost hang out of the end of the barrel: from ten feet they will blow a man clean out of his boots....from 20 or more, just piss him off real bad
