Whereas the modern beauty ideal tends to emphasize large breasts, a slim waist, and round buttocks, combined with an unprecendented skinniness.

A female human body in line with the ideals of Medieval Europe, i.e. a petite and slender figure, small and round breasts high on the chest, and a protruding, round belly.

Beauty ideals change over time and depending on the location and context. In Western Europe during the Middle Ages, the nobility set a particular beauty ideal for women: a fragile and petite figure, with small and round breasts high on the chest, and a protruding round belly. The Medieval body shape eventually gave way to new Renaissance ideals.
