He is called Ass Nate because of his strange torture methods that often resulted in the anus being affected in some way. Details are sketchy but nobody really knows what the torture methods were, exactly. Some speculate that he would make the members of the family set up a 2.5-mile long spanking routine and make the victim crawl through it, or make the victim go weeks without taking a shit.
