Alanology 

The study of all things relating to Alan Wilson, a founding member, harmonica player, guitar player and blues genius of Canned Heat. These include the study of blues guitar, slide guitar, harmonica, John Lee Hooker, and Son House. Alanology also includes the study of nature and conservation.

My friend Rebecca knows Alanology better than anyone I know. Not only does she play a mean harmonica but she's so in tuned with nature just like Alan was.

A system of ideas and methods used by the professor Mike Adriano in his colonoscopy procedures. The word is named after his last name, hence the name.

Asijology 

An umbrella term for all the Vedic and spiritual knowledge the world has got from the great Indian sages.
The name "Asija" in the Indian origin, means "a great sage".
"-logy" is a suffix which means "science or study of".

John's interest in learning about the rich Indian culture resulted from his interest in Asijology.
