A close association of video game players, assembled on a futon (or other seating device), formed to advance common interests by playing as team. Members of a futon alliance are loyal and trusting of each other; they will not act against other members of the alliance. Failure to act in accordance with terms of the futon alliance will result in a player being rejected from the coalition and henceforth being known as a futon asshole.

The Triple Alliance of 1882 was the treaty by which Germany, Austria-Hungary and Italy pledged (May 20, 1882) to support each other militarily in the event of an attack against any of them by two or more great powers. Germany and Italy additionally undertook to support another in the event of attack by France. In a supplementary declaration, however, Italy specified that its undertakings could not be regarded as being directed against the United Kingdom.
The Triple Alliance was defeated when Germany surrendered to America in 1918, which ended World War I.

The "countryside alliance" are a body of people, including a significant number of violent yobs, who parade at every given opportunity claiming to represent the rural population of Britain. What they are actually interested in is preserving the right of cretins to ponce around draped in guns, and of equally sad people to fart around on horses dressed in pink. Meanwhile, the REAL rural issues, like housing, lack of transport infrastructure, employment opportunities etc, are conveniently ignored. Research shows that the rural population is as equally divided on the issue of hunting as the urban, so to describe themselves as a pressure group for rural issues is an arrogant yet accurate reflection of the kind of fucktard who joins a group like this. It could be argued that for a person to want to own a gun should automatically preclude them being allowed to.
