An important punk rock band to form in 1977. They came out of the early Los Angeles scene and had a large influence on the evolution of punk. They were best known for the song 'I Love Livin In the City.' During 1980/1981 the bass player was Flea, who later became famous with the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

An emotion which, irrespective of whatever previous emotion you were feeling, instantaneously makes you feel like you are going to die, fills your entire body with adrenaline and sends your heart rate off the scale.
Fear was a very useful evolutionary advance for millions of years, keeping mankind one step ahead of predators and snakes and shit but unfortunately it still occurs in trivial situations, such as:
- when you lean back on your chair to the point it feels like it might suddenly tip over
- when you are eating food in the street and you almost drop a bit on the floor
- when you have been smoking weed with your bong buddies for a few hours and a group of very tall, charismatic people you haven't met before suddenly show up
- when your girlfriend almost discovers the stash of tranny porn you acquired years ago but completely forgot about...until right now

The need to wait still essential?
Upsetting someone in your life who may be opposed? (You’d have me to kinda help with that)
Someone in my life you’re worried about? (Don’t be)
Me? That could be most probable in one sense … but that’s because of the tension actually caused here … along with time …
It’s kicked the shit out of us already .. as I said before I’d of preferred fresh and new rather than healing old wounds that should have been avoided …
Nevertheless.. you say you want to meet etc
At this point I care not about what anyone else thinks .. only you and I matter from our perspective if we both decide that’s exactly what we want …

When you know exams/ essay deadines are coming up, but for some reason you just don't care enough to do any work, until at the last possible minute (oftern when it's already too late), the Fear hits you and you suddenly find the ability to work through the night and til the morning.
Jack: Don't you have an essay due on Friday?
Jill: yeah but I can't do it, I've not got the Fear yet.
Ben: Hey,when was the last time you slept man?
Jean: Can't sleep... got the Fear.

"The Fear" is a feeling of intense paranoia, nausea and insecurity that you sometimes get after heavy drinking.
Anyone can get The Fear. Some people claim they don't get it, but they're either hideously secure or well-behaved.
