Tapcent

The Tapcent is an Inglewood band term for the housetop accent in music. It cleverly combines the “tap “ part of Miss Tapia (the band teacher’s name) and the “cent” part of accent. It was created by Josh Jay-Hayes, a member of the Inglewood Kight band. The housetop accent meens to play short and loud and that is exactly what Miss Tapia is.
