SUNY Geneseo is a small college in western New York. Geneseo is not the same as what it once was. All the college bars either shut down or were burned down. Now that the nightlife is gone, so are the students. The acceptance rate has plummeted because they cut so many majors. Even the bear in the center of Main Street is gone. Since it's in the middle of no where the only thing to do was drink, and since there are no more bars, don't go here.
"Man remember how hard we threw down in Suny Geneseo last weekend? I don't."

SUNY Geneseo is a really great school; the professors are easy to talk to and very helpful, and the campus is gorgeous. It has a small school environment and it's hard not to love it.

Somehow, some way, a middle of bum-fuck nowhere agriculture college right next to a heavily trafficked highway. Located about 40 minutes west of Albany, here you can find anything besides attractive girls and good parties. And if you do get lucky and find a cute one, be careful cause she is most likely a crazy crackhead horsegirl. This college known for its unnatural coldness, shitty sports teams, it’s 30% graduation rate, and the smell of cow shit all year round that somehow gets worse during the winter months.
I attended SUNY Cobleskill a few years back and I swear and can still smell the cow shit in my sleep.

A state college located on long island just off Route 110 near the Suffolk-Nassau border. Easy college to get into where many of the students are socially quiet unless someone starts up a conversation. When the weekend comes by the campus is near deserted except for the dormers and cafe workers. There are little to no parties on campus due to strict campus police
Yo your dorming at college right?
Yeah why?
Must be some crazy parties there!
Nope

State University of New York at Plattsburgh was once known as a sub-par institution. From 1971-2005, a person pretty much needed a #2 pencil to get in.

Due to the rapid influx of Gen Y freshman tied with the 2008 recession, the admissions office started getting strict (like all SUNYs) in their selection process, and the overall campus community started to mature.

An accounting professor who once taught at the prestigious Wharton School of Business came to Plattsburgh State in 2009 for a trial semester. He stayed because, "the students are hungrier for knowledge". (Note: The business school is AACSB accredited)

Thus some time between 2003 and 2007 the last gasp of morons started to graduate (or drop out) and Plattsburgh found itself as a premiere institution.

So if you're looking for social diversity and well-rounded business, communications, nursing and education programs. You'll get it at SUNY Plattsburgh.

Thankfully there are no more people on campus like the author of Plattsburgh State University, so ignore the school's old reputation. I did, and now I have a great job
I heard SUNY Plattsburgh sucked academically.

You're right, it did suck. But it no longer does suck.

Also called SUNY Institute of Technology (SUNYIT), despite the schools amazing lack of technology. It is part of the SUNY system. Located in the decrepit city of Utica NY, whose number one employer is Denny's down on Genesee St. A school notorious for lying to its applicants as to how many credits will transfer in. The school advertises how it has diverse wildlife on campus, consisting of Canadian Geese, Deer, and Turkey. Despite the wildlife, the food is recycled from events where the school sells out facilities meant for the students.

Students who initially attend regret their decision weeks later, but find that the credits will not transfer anywhere. The school acts as the quicksand of the SUNY system.
Relative: "Where do you go to school?"
Student: "I go to school in Utica"
Relative: "Oh, that's a great school, good for you!"
Student: "No... I go to SUNY Utica"
Relative: "Oh, I'm sorry"
Student: "Me too"
