Slacktavism

The action of pretending to perform a cause, usually via posts over social media, yet not actually caring for nor doing the cause that you're promoting.
#PrayFor is slacktavism used by housewives or brain-dead teens who think that it's "deep" or "hip" to litter all over some famous person's page to make them seem like good people.

slacktivism

One of those feel-good internet campaigns that doesn't actually help anybody or has political impact. It's your way of pretending to care while sitting on your butt in front of a computer playing WoW.

Also used for people who want to get a million people on their page by before bettering themselves or the world instead of just doing it.
Girl: Let's show our support by changing our Facebook statuses to promote what color our bras are!

Boy: Why does your status say "nothing"?

Girl: I'm supporting breast cancer awareness via Facebook!

Boy: One of the best examples of slacktivism I've ever heard of...
