She is the author of Confessions of A Video Vixen, her 2005 memoir about her life in the commercial hip hop world in which she developed the nickname Superhead, which was controversial for its graphic descriptions of her sexual liaisons with numerous major stars. Steffans has appeared in many music videos including Mystikal's "Danger". Karrine also made her jump into the big screen with the 2003 action film, A Man Apart. When appearing in music videos and as a celebrity, Karrine created the name Yizette Santiago.
