A German surname that means "person from Schwarzenegg", which is both a village in Switzerland and a place in Land Salzburg in Austria. "Schwarzen" means "black", while "egg" means "ridge". Due to how it's structured, however, some people believe the surname has racist undertones, since "Schwarzen" means "black" and "negger" is one letter away from... you know... Thankfully, it's nothing more than an (unfortunate) coincidence.
