Pledge stew is one of the oldest fraternity traditions that are still standing today. The process is as follows: all of the active members take turns releasing a bodily fluid of their choice into an industrial-sized gallon when pledges are given bids. The gallon is then stored in a warm, outdoor area the entirety of the pledgeship until fermentation occurs. During the final week of pledgeship, the gallon comes out and is gracefully fed to the pledges. Due to the weeks and weeks of fermentation, the effects of the stew are similar to a hallucinogenic alcohol, such as absinthe.
Active: Pledges, guess what I added to the pledge stew...
Pledge 1: Pee?
Pledge 2: Semen?
Pledge 3: Diarrhea squirts?
Active: WOW! All of you are right! Now grab a cup...
