Top Definition
A perversion of a popular proverb that shares its name with a word game played by children. Oftentimes mistaken for an actual proverb by elderly citizens.

Also defined as "the stupid man's proverb."
Perverb examples:

Child 1: Hey! If you can't stand the heat, you can lead a horse to water!

Child 2: Hahaha. Let me try: A penny saved is a penny worth a thousand words.

Old Man: Kids these days. So damned intelligent.

*During a round of Nazi Zombies*

Dempsey: Even a blind squirrel is right twice a day.
