The Medellin Effect is when producers/directors cut an incredible trailer to mask a terrible movie. The excitement generated by the excellent trailer is directly correlated with how shitty the movie will eventually be. Originally made famous from the HBO show "Entourage."
I'll admit that footage does look good. That being said, this might be another prime example of the Medellin effect.
