Ethelbert copied the term paper to his thumb drive, walked to the Profesor's office while wearing his new sneakers, and delivered the file using sneaker mail to the Professor's computer because the Prof did not know how to use e-mail and snail mail is too slow.

Chain mail is when someone sends you a message telling you to pass it on to someone else in your contacts but they add stuff like resend this and become rich or if you do not send this to 15 contacts you will die, although they are fake some of them creep you out.
