Originally a noun meant to describe something as inexpensive or well-priced, in its slang form it is used as a verb for obtaining something for free/very cheap.

"Hey, let's go moft free pizza at the book club meeting tonight"
"I mofted Amazon. I got them to refund me by reporting my package damaged even though it wasn't"
